Yesterday we set out to visit the Swayambhunath Temple, it was an intetesting walk passing through the back streets. The roads around here are all rough and strewn with litter. Crossing a bridge I was amazed to see hogs in there snaffling through the debris and people living on the river bank in extreme poverty.
We enjoyed our visit, just a shame there are so many souvenir sellers.
Last night we were brave and ventured out in the evening, bought apair of knitted slippers as room has no heating. It is so dark with no street lights.
Had momos again this evening, making the most of this as they are hard to find in UK.

Today was an enjoyable day as we set out early and visited Pashupatinath a Hindu temple. We were not allowed inside, but watched the preperation of a body for cremation.
We walked on to the Bodhnath Stupa it was absolutely stunning, we circumnavigated it along with the pilgrims. It was dark when we left and took our first taxi wow what an experience, the driver did a u turn amid 4 lanes of very busy traffic.
