Today is the day when Group E will be decided where the winners of this match will qualify for the Quarter-Finals. It'll be a tough match as the Kazakhs have two quality players well within the top 100.
There were only about 100 Kazakh fans in Stadium 3, but they're a colourful and loud bunch, with drummers and a trombone/trumpet player amongst their number, as I witnessed when our women defeated them in the Fed Cup earlier this year. It all adds to great atmosphere.
MATCH ONE: KYLE EDMUND (69) v MIKHAIL KUKUSHKIN (67)
Yesterday's excursions have obviously had an adverse affect on Andy, so Kyle steps up to the plate. There are only two ranking points between the players.
The first sniff of a chance came in the 4th game when Kyle took Kukushkin to deuce. Two games later Kyle held two break points which were saved before Kukushkin double faulted. He saved that break point but Kyle got the break at the fourth attempt. In the next game Kyle faced two break points before winning the next four points to take a 5-2 lead. Kyle then served out the set to love.
In the second game of the second set, Kyle again faced two break points and won the next four points with solid serving, particularly impressive given his serve was interrupted on several occasions by a baby crying. In the 5th game Kyle gained the break at his second chance. At 5-3 Kyle piled the pressure on the Kukushkin serve and broke to love to secure the first point of the tie in a speedy 1hr 15mins. Job half done....
Result: Kyle Edmund by Mikhail Kukushkin 6-3 6-3

MATCH TWO: DAN EVANS (42) v ALEXANDR BUBLIK (57)
In the crucial seventh game, Bublik gained a break to go 4-3 up. Dan immediately broke back as Bublik double faulted on the second break point. At 15-40 in the 11th game Dan won the next four points, finishing the game with a fantastic shot down the line that had us on our feet. In the next game with Bublik serving at 40-15, Dan piled on the pressure to create a set point, which Bublik conceded with a double fault.
The second set proceeded without drama until the 9th game where, despite saving 3 break points Dan lost his serve. Bublik went on to level the match.
The momentum continued with the Kazakhs as they gained two immediate breaks to go 3-0 up. Has Evo become unstuck? Unfortunately that proved to be the case as Bublik levelled the tie.
Result: Alexandr Bublik bt Dan Evans 5-7, 6-4, 6-1

MATCH THREE: JAMIE MURRAY & NEIL SKUPSKI v ALEXANDR BUBLIK & MIKHAIL KUKUSHKIN
First blood in this crucial doubles match went to the Brits as in the 4th game they broke Kukushkin's serve. Two games later they broke Bublik and served out the first set 6-1.
An immediate break for the Brits in the second set as Bublik served a couple of double faults to lose the first game. In the sixth game the Kazakhs had a break point on Jamie's serve but solid play from the Brits saw them keep their advantage. In the eighth game the Kazakhs did indeed achieve the break but the Brits immediately broke back to give themselves the chance to serve for the tie. Victory was secured on the second match point.
Result: Jamie Murray & Neil Skupski bt Alexandr Bublik & Mikhail Kukushkin 6-1, 6-4

Although we were favourites to win our group, it was always going to be tough. It's been a couple of days of highly entertaining tennis player in great atmospheres. Tomorrow evening we face Germany in the Quarter-Finals.
For post-tennis food I headed to Sol. I can't recall the name of where I ate but I started with a Spanish Omelette and followed it with chicken. Much more satisfying than yesterday's.
