Buenas Tardes,

My second day here and I am still suffering with motion sickness or altitude sickness - not quite sure what I've got!!!!!! Feeling better than yesterday though. I'm not smkoing much - 3 cigarettes in 3 days is a record for me. It makes me feel too breathless. You never know - I might give up!

We were kept awake half the night by other people talking in the room next to us. Their conversation was so boring! I got up about 6am and decided to read my book. Breakfast on the terrace was very healthy again!

We went out early today and got a taxi to Telequino (if thats how you spell it). its a cable car that takes you up into the air 2.5km up the side of a mountain. I am a idiot - I refused to go up into the clouds. I waited at the bottom. There was no way I was getting on that thing without extra insurance and an English Risk Assessment!!!!! I did feel a bit mean as Kerry went on her own but she videoed herself whilst she was up there and she could hardly breathe. I would have freaked out big style so I am pleased with myself for not going. The sky lift was really freaky - it just went up in the air and then it was surrounded by clouds!!! We are far too high up!!! I'll try and put some pictures on soon.

We got a taxi back to Plaza Grande and had a look round the old town of Quito. We stick out like a sore thumb still and I imagine that at some point we will be mugged. We have been ever so careful though.

We didnt go to that church place with the tower, we will go there tomorrow I think. Its in the background of the picture above my blog. Its grey and gothic looking!!!

Tonight there is seafood on the menu and me and Kerry don't like it so we are going out for tea. We don't know where and we'll have to ask people where is less dodgy at night. I have had a look in the guide book and there are lots of local restaurants offering goat stew and chicken foot soup. Hopefully I'll find a Maccy D's soon.

Anyway, Hopefully I'll write again tomorrow but we have to vacate the hostel by 10:30am and move on. Tomorrow we are staying in a hotel and Kerry will then wash her hair because there is a hairdryer and she can use her straightners!! They should have a computer. Ta Ta for now!!!!
