After our first proper night out (ie we stayed out til midnight!) we had a lie in before heading to Starbucks for a Christmas coffee and croissant. We then headed towards the harbour for a wander in the 24oC sunshine. Jo is very impressed by the amount of dogs in San Diego, they seem to be everywhere. Liz was not impressed about the amount of dog sh*t! (it wasn't everywhere, in fact there wasn't a lot, but any amount is too much!)
We're staying just up the street from the baseball stadium - in fact you could watch the game from out hotel room window. We wandered from there to the convention centre, a modern glass and concrete building which was actually quite impressive. There was also another bridge - 2 miles long - also impressive! and then it was onto the harbour which is one of the longest natural harbours in the US. There is a boardwalk running alongside it with shops, cafes and bars. We picked one on a little pier stretching out into the ocean and ordered our christmas lunch - nachos (of course), a margarita for Jo, Bloody Mary for Liz & beautiful views for us both to enjoy. We then strolled along to the end of the harbour where a big ex navy aircraft carrier was docked - this was one big boat! There was also a massive statue insipired by a photo of a sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square the day after WWII ended

We then headed back to the hotel for champange cocktails on the roof terrace and our proper christmas dinner, followed by another early night - rock n roll!!
