Well - the last few days have been pretty busy, owing to a great turn in the weather and so finally we've been able to get out and about and sightsee in the sun! Day 2 in Sydney started with torrential rain - I could have cried! Instead we got on with things: Filled up on a monsterous breakfast at the hotel (Mark had at least 3 courses including full English, pancakes and cereal) and went to visit the aquarium in Darling Harbour. Arrived this morning at 8.00am and spent AGES going through quarantine ("aah you're from Britain - land of the mad cows and blue tongue" they chorused) the weather here is TERRIBLE at the mo and set to be so for the next few days so we are having to think of a wet weather plan :-( Today we just pottered around the opera house and the malls (to avoid the rain). After a good flight we arrived in Hong Kong at 8.00am HK time and although we were really knackered from the flight we were still really excited when we saw the skyline for the first time on the transfer. Hong Kong is an amazing city that is both so British and so Chinese at the same time (road signs and buses so British yet constant smell of noodles wherever you go!)
