We got up at 8.30am and walked to a laundrette near our resort to get our dirty clothes washed. It cost 50 THB per kilogram of laundry. They told us our clothes will be ready at 7pm.We had breakfast at 'Dangs' restaurant, we both had pineapple fried rice with chicken served in a pineapple. It was delicious as expected. After breakfast we walked to Patong beach which is only a few minutes away from our resort. The sand on the beach is so soft. We stopped off at a beach stall to have a fresh coconut. On our way back to our resort Helen bought a vest top. We also stopped off for some fresh juice and fruits. Jay had a mango and Helen had orange juice with lime. When we got back to our resort we relaxed around our pool for a couple of hours enjoying the Thailand sun and a couple of cans of Leo beer.
After relaxing around our pool we showered and got ready to go out. We went to a 7 eleven shop to purchase an international phone card for 300 THB. Helen managed to call her parents but Jay's parents were not at home to answer. We then went to a tour operator to enquire about what to do for the next few days. When we got out from the travel shop there was a torrential downpour of rain. We waited until it had calmed down then went to collect our laundry. They did such a good job, our clothes smelt fresh and were neatly folded and packed in sealed plastic bags, what a bargain!
We had dinner at 'Orchid Garden', we had chicken massaman curry with steamed rice and fried red snapper in sweet chilli sauce which Helen picked out from the front of the restaurant. This dish was so fresh and delicious, tasting similar to cod. After dinner we went to Patong Mall, we just browsed around as most items were expensive.
