Okay, so I haven't left for Juarez yet, but tomorrow morning I will be on my way! I am feeling so nervous yet excited. In the next few days all my questions like "What will it be like?" "How will I do this teaching English thing?" "How does God want to use me there?" may start having more answers...or there may just be more questions! Either way, I am ready! Well, that's not exactly true, according to the mass of stuff that remains unpacked as I write this! Many of you received support letters and/or emails from me, so you know all about this journey with Jesus I am going on. For those of you who might not, I am going to be living in Ciudad Juarez for the next six months, working with and organization based in Colorado called International Family Missions. I will be teaching English at an amazing school run by a Christian couple. This school is an outreach to some of the poorest children in Juarez, giving them free education, with the only requirement being that their parents attend weekly meetings. God is using it to get involved in the lives of people in the community there in real and practical ways. I will also be working closely with an IFM team in Juarez in orphanages, drug rehab centers, and various other ministries. Please pray for peace for me as I transition. These few days home from Guadalajara have been wonderful, but not restful, and I don't want the enemy to attack with STRESS.=) Jesus knows exactly when I should be where I should be. Please pray for Juarez, for the people who lost their homes in the recent flooding, and for continued inbreaking of the Holy Spirit there, especially breaking the chains of fear that have developed over the last decade with the violence of young women in Juarez.
