Off to cooking school again, this time to shop at the market then cook lunch. We met Lise at the market, it was a rainy morning but we set off and selected produce for lunch. We then went back to the school and cooked our lunch. We started with a tomato salad, this was colourful, delicious and easy to make. We then filleted some fish ( looked like bream but called Dorade) and covered them with vegetables and baked them. Lots of capsicums, eggplant and fennel with balsamic and olive oil over. We then make a fruit compote from peaches, nectarines and plums.
Our lunch was delicious and the class once again enjoyable and interesting. After we had finished I walked over the bridge to Notre Dame cathedral, beautiful building. I then walked around the area before getting the metro back. A siesta then freshened up and walked to Les Hombres for dinner - my last night in Paris. Beautiful restaurant, next to the tower. I started with foie gras, followed by duck then raspberry Mille feuille. All courses with a matched wine. It was a beautiful meal and one to remember. Everything was perfect - the view, the food and wine, the service.
Back to the hotel to get ready to say goodbye to Paris the next day.
