Hello!
Guess what?! I had 3 days off! And it was amazingJ
On Thursday I went to Moshi which is a city about 2 hours from Arusha. I stayed at Honeybadger lodge and they have a really big swimming pool so I basically swam all Thursday. In the evening I had a feta cheese, black olive and apple pizza. Very interesting combination but surprisingly tasty
On Friday I hired a guide to take me around the village and we went to the big market and just walked around all day. I took a dala dala to get from the lodge to the center ( dala dala is a mini van) and it was ridiculous how many people they fit in there. At once point I swear we were 25 people. (I took a taxi back, hell no I am sitting in a dala dala when its 30 degrees outside..can you imagine the smell from all those lovely people)
My feet hurt pretty bad after a few hours, walking in flip flops on ground that hasn't been fixed (rocks everywhere) is not to be recommended. Then in the evening on Friday I went back to Usa to my dear Rivertrees again.
Seems like internet has been fixed at home now and instead I have electricity problems. Yesterday I didn't have electricity from 2pm so once it got dark I had to bring out the candles. It's crazy how dependent we are on electricity. I kept wanting to do things and totally forgot that I need electricity to be able to do it e.g. I wanted to make popcorn…yeah that wasn't happening. I hope this isn't going to be a recurring problem because that will really piss me off. I still didnt have any electricity when I woke up this morning so doing my make up was a big fail...thank god I almost live in a hotel and I could bring my make up to one of the rooms.
Justin who was suppose to come and help me isn't coming so that really sucks but oh well, Ill just be GM by myself in October then, no biggie;) I cant wait for October when my parents are coming!
I can't believe it's already September, it doesn't feel like I have been here 3 months. Crazy.
Oh well, I better start working this fine Sunday.
Have a good day!
Hanna
