We left for Saigon in the morning and the border crossing this time was much easier but we did queue for ages me and Freya were officially the last people called forward through to Vietnam!!
We made our way to a hotel called Yellow house when we arrived and went out to explore the city which included us going to a rooftop revolving bar for cocktails!!
The city is full of motorbikes and your life is seriously at risk if you try to cross the roads, there are 8 million people in the city and 3 million motorbikles!
The next day we left on a bus with a guide to see the CU CHi tunnels used during the Vietnam war. We were taken around the camp and got to go in the tunnels which had been made bigger for tourists but were still suffocating. WEe were told that some people travelled for three months in the tunnels!! There was an underground hospital and kitchen too. We also went to a firing range whilst we were there and shot an AK47 which was really weird given where we were!!
On the way back we got dropped off at the War remnants museum which was really good. It was pretty anti-American which is why i think we didn't see many Americans there!! It had lots of photographs taken during the war some were pretty brutal.
The next day i was really ill as i had been up all night off some bad shrimps or an allergic reaction to shrimps! so i stayed in bed all day which i was gutted about becasue i liked the city and wanted to see more of it, but the next day we were leaving for the beach resort Mui Ne.
