Travelled to Phnom Penh, the capital city to see the Genocide museum and jkilling fields-all uplifting stuff!! We immediately didn't like it and didn't feel safe there. Our hotel wasn't very nice as we had to push two single beds together and the three of us lie sideways. It was down an alley as well which didn't feel very safe as we had lots of people trying to sell us drugs.
The next day we went to the S21 prison where the Khmer ROuge held and tortured Cambodians. Then we moved on the the Killing fields it was a very sombre day, we later found out that the trial of the head of the S21 prison was starting the day after, this was 30 years after the actual genocide!!
We booked our bus to Vietnam for the next day as we didn't want to stay any longer!!
