SHENZHEN, Guangdong Province:
Made it to breakfast early in the morning. Got all my stuff sorted and struggled to bring my rucksack down from the 6th floor, even though I reduced the weight! We were told that because the weight limit had been reduced, we were allowed to take on two carry-on bags, so I managed to move stuff around and didn't have to leave much behind.
We got the coach to Shenzhen - a two hour coach journey I think! Sat next to Kate and listened to her music.
In Shenzhen we went to 'Splendid China' - a model version of the whole of the country. It was amazing! Even though the buildings were so small - the place was massive! We were there for three hours and we barely saw half of it! Half way through the morning though, my flip flops broke! I spose, you can't complain - primark: £2, but such bad timing! Fortunately Liz had some spare shoes!
Then we got back in the coach to Shenzhen airport - was told in the queue that the baggage allowance had gone back to 20kg, but now we were only allowed one carry-on bag! Nightmare! I managed to put some of my stuff in Casey's and Morten's bags, and squished a few things back into mine. Very frustrating though!
Got to check-in and loads of people's bags were setting off the security alarms, so they had to jump over the check-in desk and empty their bags in front of the security guards. Most people were lucky enough to have the thing they had to find in a side pocket, or they had a suitcase so it was easy to route around and find what the guards wanted to check. Mine, however, was my dry shampoo cans - right in the MIDDLE of my rucksack!! So I had to empty out all my things (and they laughed at Audrey my teddy bear!). Was well annoyed about that!! Especially trying to squeeze everything back in again.
Had to wait in the airport for ages... got chatting to a few more different people - Austen, the two James' and Tom, which was cool to hang out with a different group of people.
We finally got on the plane, after a 40 minute delay! I was sat next to Josephine and Chris - and Ali, Kate and Tobias - they all feel asleep, was so bored!
We stopped in Nanjing for 15 minutes, I have no idea why, and then we got back on the plane. Ali woke up, so we played some card games with Amanda and Lasse who were sat behind me, and eventually our plane arrived in to Harbin early Sunday morning.
