Its THE LAST NIGHT… wow has time flown
It seems like it was yesterday that I got off the plane and saw Brian standing there with a CEA sign, sitting around the café table with new friends, and getting to know my Jordan Baby on the bus ride into Galway.
In the past few days I have done a lot of studying (ok not that much), shopping, drinking, and eating.
Monday night, the night before our exam (a lot of studying going on J) Sarah, Libby, Kathleen, Jordan, Ramnia and I got a few tubs of ice cream and sat around for some good laughs. Sarah was telling her usual hilarious stories, full of facial expressions and detail. This girl can seriously make you pee your pants. The others and I truly enjoyed story time with Sarah haha!
After our test yesterday, Sarah, Olivia, and I walked through the city centre for one of our last times. We shopped a little in the gift stores, and checked out the market near Shop Street. Olivia and I tried strudel and they were delicious. The freshest apples I have ever had!
We then came home and started to pack…. which was a pretty hard thing to do.
We had our last, farewell reception held by the University. We have had a total of 3 receptions, and they are such a blast! They are held in the University bar (yes there is a bar that's apart of the campus!) and it is a huge room, full of disco lights, speakers, and great food. Each student gets a two free drink pass… so it is nice to sit around and socialize with your program and have a ice cold berry Bulmer's!
Last night was hilarious! We all got ready in Jordan's room and danced around like crazy.
The walks to the pub's and the pregame have seriously been the favorite part of going out here. It was so nice to sit around with the girls, take pictures, and be crazy with the music.
We of course went to our usual bar, The Front Door, to see our favorite front door man Jack, and our favorite bartender Berry. The girls and I made a pact that we would try and spread our wings and go to a club. So we made our way to Club K, and danced the night away! Liam and some of the other guys the girls made friends with here, met up with us to also have a few pints and dance.
After Club K, Liam and I decided to walk in the water under the Spanish Arch. It was fun to go to the Spanish Arch, because that sight is so beautiful, but the water and walls under the bridge were really nasty… so this walk in the water didn't happen long.
We then went to Jordan's', Sarah's, and Libby's place to have an after party. Dave, Jordan's friend, brought a friend over, Liam and a few other new friends, all ate ice cream and listened to some good music. Sarah, Jordan, and I., also entertained the crowed with our hilarious games and stories.
The night ended around 5 am!
This morning Jordan and Sarah came over to go get lunch. Instead we decided to make lunch so we could sit around the table and chat. Sarah and Jordan made a delicious gumbo salad. Olivia came over also to join in on the girl time.
I could have sat at that table for hours!
Tonight we have a farewell dinner with Brian, our CEA instructor. He is taking us to a very good restaurant in the city centre.
I leave tomorrow at 6am and I am so sad the time has come. I love this place. Like I said before, it is truly the people who make Ireland as beautiful as it is.
Ill never forgot all the friends I have made here. I really stepped out of my comfort zone and expanded my boundaries. I have learned so much about myself, and everyone I have met on this adventure has made an impact in my life.
The girls from CEA have been the best part about this whole thing. I have made some true friends here, and we have this amazing bond from this experience that we will only share and understand.
SO CHEERS! AND AS THE IRISH SAY, YOU ALL ARE SO GRAND, SOUND, AND A BUNCH OF LEDGENDS!

Aunt Bonnie It must seem a little "surreal" being back in your home environment. On some level it probably seems like Ireland was just a dream, but. . . you know what you experienced and those wonderful memories will stay with you for life. I so happy for you that you had that experience! Welcome Home!
