The first city we stayed at in Nicaragua was San Juan Del Sur. We got to stay there for two nights. I always thought Nicaragua was a small country with small and poor towns, but I was mistaken, Nicaragua has some big cities in it as well as small ones.
Our house has a patio in the front, if you go out to the patio, and look straight forward you see the ocean right across the busy street. It had an amazing view! From the patio we could see boats in the bay and people enjoying themselves in the water. We also had the treat of being able to see the big statue of Jesus towering over the city on a huge hill.
On the day we arrived at our condo we hung out at our condo, then went to get some lunch at a place called Taco Stop. We went to Taco Stop because mom read that it had good food in a blog. At Taco Stop Noah, Lucas, and I got quesadillas. Levi got a make your own kids taco and mom got a burrito. While we ate lunch, dad walked around town to find some pizza for his lunch. After lunch, we went to the beach for a little, then went back across the street to see the sunset off our patio. Sunset was beautiful, mom and dad sat on the patio and drank sangria and beer. I was so nice that I pretended to be their waitress, I watched Lucas and made the boys be quiet so that they might enjoy themselves. Oh, but it gets better, I refilled their drinks and brought bottles of sangria or beer over to them. After their romantic sunset we went out to dinner. Dad researched the restaurants in San Juan Del Sur, and when he found a nice sounding restaurant we set off to find it. We went to an American style restaurant, we went to that restaurant because a couple of famous people had gone there, one being Matthew McConaughey. At the resturaunt, dad ordered a steak, I got chicken nuggets, but I really do not remember what everybody else got. During dinner, we heard loud music. We ran outside to see what was going on. Passing by us was a group of people following a truck that was pulling a Virgin Mary Statue on it. I guess they do this for Christmas time here. After dinner we went home, and fell asleep in our new rooms.
