Day 8 - I wrote a long entry that was lost when my app crashed, and now I really need to get to sleep. I will update this with more detail another time, for now here's the Cliff's notes:

- Oregon is beautiful
- Redwood trees are big
- Temperatures swing 30-40 degrees hotter as you ride inland from the coast
- Northern California has a lot of poor white trash that scare me
- Mount Lassen after dark is amazing - see the picture of the stars that we took
- heading for Tahoe and Yosemite tomorrow
