Think the boredom of sitting inthe same place started to take it's toll. The days are blending in to each other. Think I did the same as the last few days before, rested foot then in the eve had to head out. There's a square full of bars at the top of the road and it was pretty heaving. Not much happened on this day....I went to the hospital and in the night I ate some Burmese food - the food was good but am having trouble to gauge what 'is spicy', this should have been spicy but wasnt - may step up to the locals palate.

Hospital again - seem to have the same tuk tuk driver on the way back who always says "m.d house (my hotel)- no walk". Late morning rob and chris came to my room for a hospital visit. They were hiring scooters to go to doi suthep which I really wanted to do but didn't know if my foot was up it - stabilising the bike and not being elevated etc, so I skipped out. Sooo, go to the hospital again to change my dressing, they popped some tar coloured stuff on it - he said it was propatine(?) - whatever it was it stung like a mo-fo. Only took 15 mins, paid me hospital fees (rather strange having to go to a cashier, pay, get a receipt for medical stuff). Laid in bed with foot elevated, nipped out for lunch (not far- the wall, a pink floyd inspired bar). Had an afternoon nap. Around 5 got up - the foot really hurts when I become ...

Checked the foot again this morning and on the big wound the flesh had inflamed and was red so headed to the hospital- real plush place. Took my photo and gave me a name tag sticker with a bar code, hospital card and was wheeled around. I was with a doctor in 20 mins - he confirmed that it had been infected and that I would need to go back everyday to change the dressing. It cost £40 but considering i was done in less than an hour was impressive, dunno if they'...
