Oopps sorry folks have fallen behind a little bit, i will now try and do as much catching up as is possible with this afternoon of not doing anything ha.
So Sydney CBD what an amazing place, just beware if you cross the road not to look either way because you will just stop and stand and gaze at the sight before you for a little too long and end up with a taxi honking up your arse followed by a bus BEWARE PEOPLE!!!! one of the very few flaws i found with sydney was the price of basic living. It is not too dissimilar to my image of New York, having never been it is just an image in my mind. So in Sydeny there is a lot to see and do and you can get lost very very easily (or at least i can). Went for a walk down to the shopping centres which are very posh, expensive and large there are bargains to be found if ya want to hunt in the heat but that just wasnt what i wanted to do. So the walk back from the shops should have been about half an hour yet three hours later i am just starting to walk through the door of the hostel dripping of sweat and having no idea where i came from. This is a good thing in my opinion as it means you get to see so much of sydney that normally as a tourist you would not normally look at.
Anyone thinking of heading to Sydney make sure you head down to Darling Harbour at night, the little cafes and the museum all lit up and the bridge gives a stunning backdrop it really is jaw dropping just so picturesque and stunning could have sat on the side of the harbour for hours. Nights out in Australia are pretty expensive unless you are a backpacker as there are a lot of backpacker bars around and they give out free drinks regularly so you can get drunk but it doesnt last long as they get you to the point of drunkenss then stop the free stuff so you stop drinking it is very strange way of drinking but it does work i think.
Obviously i did all the touristy things along the way such as visit the opera house several times and walk across the bridge and walk through the botanical gardens regularly. Also took the half hour ferry across to manly beach which was just stunning. White sands, blue/green sea, awesome waves to rip you up and sun beating down hard, temperature to day was about 36 degrees which is always a good thing.
Overall impression of Sydeny would be amazing place and a must for every single person in the world to visit, just make sure you have quite a lot of money with ya to do absolutely everything. Next stop OzExperience to Spot X surf camp.
