Wow.. I think today has been my favorite day so far.We have another super exciting class this morning. Then we had a long break from 9:45- 2:00.We decided to go to H&M.It was wonderful.Courtney, you were right? I loved it!I got 2 shirts and 2 more dresses for super cheap! It was 3 stories tall? I could have spent all day in there, but we only spent about an hour. Then we went to a really good sandwich shop for lunch called Pans & Company.I had a "fondue" sandwich, which is apparently a really fancy grilled cheese sandwich. It is served on a baguette with fancy cheese.
Then we went to Museo Picasso. It was not really my cup of tea, but whatever. After that we came back to the hotel and had a bible study. We watched another sermon. This one was by Andy Stanley from North Point Community Church. It was the first part of a four part sermon called "On Location".The series basically focuses on being lights in the specific locations in which God has placed each of us.Sometimes I think that I need to do something drastic with my life in order to make a difference in the world and grow the kingdom of God.But God has been showing me that we are intended to be in all different situations all over the world in order for all people to be touch by the love of the Lord.I am excited about putting this into practice!
After our little bible study, we went to a planned neighborhood by Gaudi. This neighborhood was started a while ago, but was never finished. It only has two houses. But there is a huge park, and a mountain to climb. Our art professor told us that we HAD to go to climb the mountain at sunset because it would change our life's.He was right. We had to literally hike up the mountain that didn't have a very clear path. The view that we got of the city was probably the most phenomenal thing I have ever seen. Not only was it beautiful, it was 360 degrees. We were basically on one of the highest points in the middle of the city, so we had a great view from all angles. There was the beach to one side, mountains to the other, and the city everywhere in between. We took some great pictures of the landscape! After the sun set we climbed back down the mountain. We were going back to the hotel, but we didn't realize that they lock the gates at a certain time. So? basically we were stuck inside a park at 10:30pm in a foreign country where we couldn't speak the language. Luckily, Monica is fluent and asked someone outside the gates how to get out. It was quite the adventure.Once we got out, we realized that there were still 5 of us inside without a fluent person. So we waited outside the gate for 30 minutes or so until they came down and we told them the way out. While we waited we played a game of screaming ninjas (the people here were not as big of fans as my crazy friends at home! ;)Then we played signs.I'm pretty excited? we already have a game night planned for the night we get to Aix-en-Provence? only 2 more days!
