Mendenhall Glacier is one of 38 large glaciers that flow from the Juneau Icefield. August 11, 2013 Sunday Day 35 Drove to downtown Juneau this morning. The road, Glacier Highway ran alongside a beautiful wildlife preserve with vast wetlands on either side of the road. Had bagels at Silverbow where the tea selection was wonderful. We browsed through the shops for a bit, but we didn't really like downtown Juneau very much - too many people, too touristy and there were at least 5 cruise ships in port. August 10, 2013 Saturday Day 34 Went to town for a late breakfast at North Sister Juicery and Crepes. Michael had the Berry Delight Crepes topped with walnuts. August 9, 2013 Friday Day 33 Got up at 4am, so early, but so excited. Big Blue Fishing Charters is handling everything except pulling in the fish. G.
