Day 83
Had a nice breakfast at the hotel, and left Glasgow, MT around 9:30am.
Continued traveling east along the northern part of Montana on Highway 2. Like yesterday on 2, our long mostly straight, flat route paralleled railroad tracks, and we saw more pastures, farmland, rivers, creeks and a few small towns.
A little before noon, we left Montana and entered North Dakota. We drove through the oil boom town of Williston.
Wow, I never saw so much temporary housing, or trucks. Oil pumps and drills were everywhere. New construction all over the place. Ladies if you wanted to get a date in this town full of men, I'd say the odds are good, but beware, the goods are odd, haha!
Another time zone change, we are now on Central Time, yay, only one more time zone to go!
Made it three quarters of the way across the state of North Dakota today. We are camping at Grahams Island State Park on Devils Lake. This lake and wetlands are home to a huge variety of birds. As we drove over and around the lake at dusk, the lake and sky were filled with ducks, geese, etc. Beautiful and quiet campground, 15 miles outside of the town of Devils Lake.
We set up camp, walked around the island for an hour, had soup for dinner in the camper.
418 Miles today
11,809 Miles so far
