so I spent my first few days in chiang mai at deejai backpackers,would recommend to anyone,really cool vibe,good people,cheap to stay,nice and cheap food and most importantly a bar that is only 3p dearer than the beer is in the shop! spent my first day wandering the streets looking at the temples and the markets,bit bored of temples and markets already if I'm honest,they all look the same....! met a cool oz chick, Johanna and American guy, Jeremy when I got back so just chilled with them for a couple of days,played silly drinking games,attempting to play the bazouki,explaining the north/south divide as there seemed to be alot of southerners at the hostel and talking s***e most of the day to be honest......was good to have a proper relax after all the walking round aimlessly which I seem to have been doing!also became good mates with the manager rob and Adam who built and works at the bar in the garden "jungle chicken" obvious name for a bar when you think about it......then decided to go on a 2 night jungle trek so booked the "non-touristic"....but it's for tourists one!?...don't know how that works but I'll guess I'll find out pretty soon......!
