well if I thought it was hot before I was wrong, the luxury soon turned to reality when staying in a hostel room that be better described as a cell,a bed,a fan and no windows but it was cheap and in a great location.....slap bang at the end of the legendary khao san road which lived upto it's reputation!didnt take long on the first night to meet up with a crazy south african guy and after exchanging the "I'm not gay but pull up a chair and get a beer" I had a drinking buddy for the night, and bizarrely sat on the table next to us was 3 girls from my home town, the rest of that night became a blur pretty quickly!saturday was spent wandering the streets of Bangkok downing water and trying not to pass out,Saturday night was a quieter start until I walked into a bar that had a Thai guy playing guitar and singing everything from U2 to Jessie J and the atmosphere was amazing, started drinking with a Irish lad called Paul,a Canadian called wes, a swede and a German and 2 Scottish girls, didn't stay quiet for long and after several bars and clubs I woke up at 11am face down in my room!sunday me and Paul took a walk to wat po,has to be seen to be believed, huge golden Buddha laid on its side and then ended up walking into a military school to ask for directions and ended up being ushered in to shoot guns, random but cool!!3rd night on khao san Paul was going onto oz but had a hotel room booked so kindly gave me his key when he left, double bed and air con once again was amazing and a massive thanks for that!attempted a quiet night and kept myself to myself which worked until about 11pm when a group of German wakeboarders and a Hungarian girl pulled up some chairs and after a few beers and downing vodkas and sangsom again it wasn't so quiet and for those that saw my Facebook you know what happened next.........!another day feeling rough had a good chill out day with Rebekah and wes sat outside bars and talking s*** it was onto a 12hour night bus to the northern region and the old city of chiang mai where I'm currently writing this and swinging in a hammock.........peace
