Know more of the Island by scootering around. Yesterday we found another lovely secluded beach which we stayed for a while before heading off back into town to eat some Thai curry with BBQ chicken hearts on a stick. We're managing so far to stick to £11 a day which we use for food/ drinks and bits of activities. Hopefully be able to get it down to a £5 a day and budget backpacker style :-). Today we went to climb a waterfall (as you do) and didn't take the tourist route ('cus we're bad') but managed to reach the very top and were also walking bare foot so that we didn't fall down the rocks to meet our death. However, unfortunately we kinda missed the fact that we would have to climb back down. So taking a different route we started to climb back down again, all was going really well...... Until we looked above our heads to discover the most ginormous spider and web I think I have ever witnessed in all my life. Obviously we didn't act rational and I started to laugh so I didn't cry and Wesley screamed lool. We then ran the hell back up the rocks only to realise there was only one way back down which happened to be past the GIANT spider. So braved it back down slowly which ended up in me falling down the rocks with the spider above my head. I then fell to the ground and luckily got away with a few cuts and grazes. Lesson learnt. So far, from been here a week and a half I have managed to Cut my legs on rocks with a spider watching, Been stung by a baby jellyfish and its puffer fish friend, burnt my calf on a bike exhaust, bit my own lip opening a bottle and had the most hideous 24hr stomach bug. F you thailand! Apart from that I'm having fun. And to compensate my ordeal with the whole rock/ spider thing I went and ordered a bacon sandwich while Wesley ate his pad Thai calling me westernised. Well we're just resting for the evening now. Will prob go out later looking for foods and drinks. Speak soon peeps Lx
