What a day. So humbling and enlightening. Taken by minibus driven by our guide to the township of Langna, the oldest in S Africa. Interesting visit to a men's club and two modern 'flats. So fascinating. Tremendous visit to a Church service that we so enjoyed. What a memorable visit. So many highlights.
After lunch we went off on a large catamaran to Robbin Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Beautiful island with such sad associations. Wonderful views of Cape Town and Table Mountain. Beaches covered with abalone shells. Temp 37c. Too hot for me. Lovely swim in the penthouse pool before dinner at a rather indifferent Italian restaurant.
