Graeme round the world
Day 63 Friday 25th May - Up at 6.30 to get down to the marina to board The Kiana for our sailing trip round the Whitesundays and The Great Barrier Reef. The crew were fantastic and so were the 11 others aboard. Stunning sunshine during our voyage to Whitehaven Beach, one of the world's top 10 beaches and we had it to ourselves :o) Wen't for a walk through the trees to the lookout point and it was sooooooooo beautiful, on the way the guide got us to lick green ants, who stung us mindly on the tongue, but it tasted of lime and didn't seem to do them any harm :o) Due to the jelly fish, which in some cases can be deadly, we had to were 'stinger' suits which made us look like Nijas, so we took some fun shots jumping around like Ninjas.....see pics......We swam in the sea and saw rays and dolphins who chased the fish that were jumping out of the water directly towards me. We watched the stunning sunset as we moored up in a bay where were stayed the night. We laid on deck looking up at the stars [Southern Cross and Milky Way] which filled every inch of the sky. Then saw a shooting star cross the entire sky. It was such a beautiful experience it gives me goose bumps just thinking about it again. The perfect end to a heavenly day :o)))))))))
