Day 8 01/04/06 Full days trip to a market 2 hours outside Quito, on the way met my first lama and went to another equator line site and balanced an egg on it's end which you can do more easily on the equator line. Day 7 31/03/06 Yesterday's flights went well i.e. we made it although we did have some huge turbulence at times. Met a lovely South African couple on the flight from Santiago, they had a great sense of humor and had traveled the world and we just laughed and laughed. Day 6 30/03/06 Up at 4am to catch first flight of 4 today!! ** During the flights I was thinking about a couple of things that happened in Rio. A local gave me some great advice as we landed at Rio ''Try not to look like a foriegner'' it's hard to blend in when you're the only one carry a ruck sack and your skin hasn't seen sun for neatrly a year. Day 5 29/03/06 - The Samba Show last night was brilliant, pulsating music, fabulous dancing and great outfits.....see pics :o) The show finished in the early hours after a delicious so feeling a bit wasted today, but that just could have been a dodgy oyster ;o) Went for a swim and the waves certainly give you a beating plus the current is very strong, but great fun and have been walking along the beach watching the surfers. Day 4 28/03/06 Went to the gym, then joined in with some locals in a game of beach football............well I certainly impressed them by running around like a looney for 5 mins so much so I was sick :o(((((((((( played on for until the gaem ended and I must have done something right as they have invited me back this evening, but am going out on a party in Rio evening, which I think might be a mini carnival sort of thing, fingers crossed :o) xxx
