We woke to blue skies and decided to spend the day exploring Antibes. We first went to the market and purchased meat, cheese, olives, and vegetables. Today was a traveling day. We left Carcasonne this morning and made one stop in Nimes to see the arena. Steve and I have seen it before with Amanda but it was new for Jaylene. It is the best preserved Roman coliseum  and is still in use today. They have an excellent exhibit on gladiators. We dint take many photos since we have some from the time before but, the top of the arena has some great views.

We did not have access to the Internet tonight but was promised she would set it up for tomorrow. This morning we went on a tour of the hospital Sant Pau. It was under restoration so we had to wear hard hats and orange vests. It was built in 1903 during the modernist period so it is more of a work of art than a hospital. We had a bit of a lazy morning...again. Which is fine by me, since after two months of traveling it is nice to relax. Just after 10am we headed off to see the medieval city in Carcassonne. It is the largest walled castle in Europe. However it is not just a castle and museum, people live within the wall and own shops.  After seeing the castle itself, we spent the rest of the day walking around the medieval city; enjoying the weather, going to amazing view points...

Today was a very full day. We started it off at La Sagrada Familia. Construction started in 1882 and will be completed in about 2030. On average there is an annual budget of €18 million a year.
