Good morning from Rio in Brazil!! We arrived in Rio on Sunday and met up with Jen, Fi and Amy in our hostel in Ipanema. Rio has an amazing atmosphere and the beaches and scenery are stunning, as are the men! Seriously, if any of the spinsters are reading this, this is the place to come to find ourselves a fit, toned, bronzed, brazilian god! They do, however, seem to have a tendency to wear skimpy speedos on the beach but you can forgive them for this! ...

We left Chile on Tuesday, ready for our relatively short bus trip (11 hours) across the border to Salta in Argentina. Everything seemed to be fine until about 9 hours into the journey the bus stopped. In the middle of nowhere. The driver stuck his head into the bus and informed us that the locals were blocking the road with rubble and weren't letting any vehicles through at all and that we would have to spend the night asleep on the bus. We were not impressed...
