Today we started off with another great breaky then walked towards town caught the free bus to the Forks and walked to the pedestrian bridge over the Red River heading towards St. Boniface. The pedestrian bridge is called the Esplanade Riel and in the middle is a restaurant called Salisbury House, we stopped in for a bevy and a great view of the Red River. We continued on into St. Boniface and the St. Boniface Cathredral, this church was burned out many years ago and all that remains is the stone front and rear. They've actually built a new church inside the remains of the old one, pretty cool. Next we're off to the Le Garage Cafe which is a local favourite, great lunch here. We now head back onto the Esplanade Riel where we great view of the construction of the new Canadian Museum of Human Rights, this is a very interesting piece of architecture with massive amounts of steel and glass. Okay its time to get back on the free bus and check out another local hangout Osbourne Village which is across the Assinibone River on the south side of town, this turns out to be not so interesting so we head back to the forks and have a bevy on an outdoor patio, next we're off to the historic Fort Garry Hotel, this is an old CP hotel like the Empress back home, we strolled into the lobby bar for a Kir Royal, wow what a place I wouldn't mind staying here some day. Well we're starting to feel a little peckesh so we head south west to an italian place called Amici, well I hate to say it but it was another great meal, we walked back to the B&B just to wear off a few calories...
