I hit the wrong button and off went the blog yesterday so decided to leave it and have a beer. The reference to Hamburg winning was cos it cost us plenty of time going and had a second bite yesterday with two hours lost !! We also had a torrential storm similar to a white out - at least in t'van we were above the spray. Have come back to Bremen cos we liked the look of it and are goin to explore. No Graeme we aint goin to join the ballroom dancing troup. Allegedly there is a foot ferry which will take us across the river we will see.
Was sorry to leave Denmark and would hope to return to explore the north. In the main its very flat and lush green farm land with fjords and In land lakes by the dozen. Every where you look there seems to a marina absolutely packed with boats. The south of Jutland has some hills and woods but the highest point in Denmark is the top of the Storebaelt bridge. The locals are very freindly and helpful and all speak English. The food is good BUT it is an expensive place. How friendly ? Well when I was putting picnic stuff out on rocks by waters edge on Lojt Land the owner of the house opposite came over with a rose from their garden for our lunch table !!
