Well that was a rude awakening. Shorts, T shirt and sandals + forgot 'twould be English summer damp, grey and miserable. Hey Ho still it was another good north sea crossing followed by tescos for shopping and brekkie on way ome. Guess that's it guys a bit of tidyin up of piccies other than that a great time was had by all with t'van behaving well over the 1650 odd miles we've travelled. So till t'van moves again ......

Well the weather forecast was not too good so forgot about going up north and atound. Walked into Meppel and had a coffee and toasted sarnie before starting back. Had a wasted trip into Gouda as couldnt park t'van so ended up in the Hook earlier. Had a lovely meal ata chineese weve visited before and now on the good ship Britannica awaiting transortation to Harwich and the last 30 miles

Well we made Meppel. A leisurley brekkie and pack up the a wander thro the German and Dutch countryside. Then Meppel - no its not a marina but a dedicated m'home parking area by the canal. 7 euros for 24 hours with showers and toilets so we thought we will have some of that. It looks like a nice town had a quick walk in and short explore possibly more in the morro. If the weather is kind to us again then we will drive north and cross the 30 km Afsluitdijk also ...

T'cumiteeee ave met an madam chairwotsit decided we would move along. So in the morro we will head out of Bremen in the general direction of Meppel in da Netherlands. If there is a signal we will tell y'all where we ended up.

Another day in da 70's but with a cooling breeze. Went on river trip to Bremen harbour. Discovered its the most southerly German port 90 kms from north sea with a tide rise of 4.5 meters every 6 hours - not many people know that !! Ok I accept not many people would want to know that but it filled up a bit of space :-D The harbour is industrial so not a scenic trip. Some of the old stuff was interesting like the mole tower. Had a stroll round the old town now ...
