We headed on our way towards Coff's Harbour with Rachel at the wheel. After about an hour she pulled over in a town claiming she needed the toilet. Conveniently she parked right outside a bakery with discounted cakes, apparently this wasn't planned. But she picked some cream cakes, but I wasn't complaining as I got a pasty mmmmmm. We then carried on to Coff's Harbour, nipped into the tourist information centre to find out where the campsites where and were directed to a nice one next to the sea front. We got pitched up then headed to the beach for a little walk and to see people surfing on some great waves. We then headed back to the campsite to cook some grub and relax for the evening.
The next day (Tuesday 6th) we had a nice long lie in then treated ourselves to an egg sandwich for breaky. We then headed out towards the harbour area and on the way nipped into a women's clothes shop which had just opened, which had dresses, jumpers, vest tops, etc etc for $6 each. Rachel had a whale of a time grabbing loads of stuff and heading for the changing room. She came out with a big grin on her face and got 2 new dresses and a new jumper for dirt cheap.
We then continued our walk along to the beach and then headed up to the harbour and out onto Mutton Bird Island to watch the waves crash against the rocks at the end. We also saw a couple of lizards who's legs were really small we thought they were snakes at first. We then headed back and had a walk along the beach for a bit then headed to the shopping centre to grab some sausages and steaks for a BBQ dinner. After getting back and having the best dinner in a long time we relaxed for the rest of the evening before heading to bed.
