It was a slow start today with a bit of a sleep in and breaky at the hotel. Breakfast was the same a the last few days with a very wide range of different breakfast foods; noodles, pasta, fish, chicken eggd pastries, fruit and awesome coffee custurd things.
Our flight to Da Naung was delayed and I decided to start summing up the conference proceedings during any down time like flights and airport time. We changed flights at last minuite holding up the plane and getting the staff a little upset but we made it to Da Nẵng our luggage even managed to make it too!
We stopped for some more Pho on the way to China Beach - a nice pooking beach used by US troops for R & R during the Vietnam war. We checked into the resort and chilled out around the pool for a while.
Next was out walking tour of the 'Old town of hoi ann'. Stops included a couple of Chinese temples, an old Japanese house that has been owned by the same family for 7 generations and a Japanese bridge built in to 16th century.
Hoi an seems to be very touristy but has a much more relaxed feel than the city which is refreshing after the last few days.
We had a look at 'yaly' to order some tailor made suits and in another shop we ordered shoes to be picked up tomorrow. I have a feeling we got a little bit ripped off in both stores however still a bargain for suits made out of cashmere or silk back home.
We tried some more of the local cuisine at a restaurant along the river.
Later that night:
"Theres Flippin Bees in here!" Bully screamed as the mylaria tablets made easy work of his subcosious. He jumped up standing on the foot of his bed throwing his dooner and sheets around trying to protect himself from the massive swarm of bees. After a very quick dash the Halucionagenic Bulman could be found at the opposite side of the room cowering behind the protection of the bedpost. Seconds later a chorus of laughter could be heard as the rest of us caught up with what just happened.
Despite our sketptical approach, between finding snakes in my apartment, having large TV's fall on Dinsy and now the bees we are a little more convinced that one of the side effects of the Malaria tablets may be crazy dreams.
