Before Seville I drove to Cadiz which meant driving along a straight and very narrow isthmus. There were several massive cruise ships anchored up.
This oldest inhabited settlement in Europe from where Columbus sailed was surprisingly pleasant with its yellow historical buildings. There was a feeling of space and cleanliness.
Then on to colourful Seville.
Luckily there was some hazy cloud cover as it can be extremely hot.
After avoiding parking in a dingy underground car park I managed to park in a weird open makeshift car park for 60 cents which worried me in case they made their money by stealing from the cars. Am I becoming paranoid or what?
Walked across the bridge and by constantly asking found my way to the cathedral. It became one of the world's largest cathedral when it was completed in 1507and an icon of Gothic architecture.
A visit to Alcazar and it's exquisite lay adorned patios and gardens which has been a royal residence for many centuries is a must. It was founded in 913 as a Muslim fortress.
I had to leave a forlorn looking Sacha outside.
Made my long way back along the river passing the bullring to the parking place. Was much relieved to find all was safe but had trouble getting out between the cars all sprawled out and badly parked.
Then drove 200 kms to the next chosen Acsi campsite near Cordoba.
Desperately wanting to get settled but took an age. Firstly couldn't find the supermarket in the small village with narrow streets then at the campsite moved several times after setting up screens, table, chair etc. The last time because a very noisy group moved next to me and after last nights experience I couldn't tolerate any more noisy neighbours.
It worked! I had a good night's sleep and Sacha is much better today bottom wise. I'm not doing anything except writing this. Enjoying still being in my night attire. It is now 2 pm! I should do this more often.
