Lazy day after buffet breakfast all included in the £18. Had trouble connecting to wifi. Went down to the business centre to print out my visa for Bhutan. Wandered around to find shops but same old rubbish. Rickshaw wallah tried it on by refusing to take the money. We agreed 20, I went to give him 30 but he wanted 50. I walked away and he then took it.
In the evening found another Boaishaki restaurant (same as the one in Rangpur) and had a chicken biryani and chat with nice owner. Then to a restaurant that only did desserts and had a fresh fruit creamy dessert. They also understood that I didn't want to be stared at and put me in the back yard and out of the way. My hotel does a seafood BBQ in the grounds but they play such loud music.
Last night I ate at The Mermaid a fabulous restaurant hidden away round the edge of the beach. Pleasant music and ambience, delicious food and cute waiters.
Met two other whiteys - such a rare breed here. They were from Austria and had come here for a conference regarding integrating handicapped children in schools.
Back to room to send out blogs and Skype.
