Helllloooooo, last day in Sydney for a while......off to see The Stuarts in Brisbane in a couple of hours so thought I would update you all on what we have been up to....

Well, I finally did it, got to go to a performance at the Opera House, we got ourselves dressed up and on Friday night we went to see Floating by Hugh Hughes....it was hilarious, him and his partner alone on stage going through what happened when Anglesey floated away from Wales!!!! And yes we did ask ourselves how we had missed that event too, but obviously not a real happening!!!! I had tears streaming down my face, if you ever get the chance, check it out.....

We have also been to Taronga Zoo, had a ball, saw every animal possible......even real life Koala bears!!! It is illegal to hold them in New South Wales, but I am hoping that when I get to Queensland we can go to a sanctuary and hold one....so cute.....they always look drunk!!!

Saturday was Mardi Gras!!! WOW!!!! The atmosphere was amazing, we got into position about 5ish, about 3 hours before it was due to start.......and after all that waiting we couldn't see anything really!!! The guys we were with held our cameras above the crowd but the pics are all so blurred.....despite this, honestly the atmosphere was electric..... another awesome experience......found myself in Bondi beach on Sunday morning....and another WOW!!! What a beautiful beach, most people have told us that there are better beaches, but honestly this was still so beautiful......so jumped on the bus home, and chilled with the guys at the backpackers, full on DVD afternoon as it was raining.......

A couple of experiences note worthy for you this week, just so you know there is a balance of all this awesome stuff........there was a cockroach in our room, Hitesh is our friend from the backpackers, he kindly removed it, and then thought it would be funny to pretend to throw it at me.....Ash - remember that scream at Thorpe Park!!! Nothing compared to the one when I thought Colin the Cockroach was going to get very close to me!!! A case of get what you pay for......took me a few hours but forgot about it swiftly!!! Get me and my adaptability!!!
Also had to replace all of my toiletries as they fell down the toilet....I was trying so hard not to put anything on the floor...not exactly dettol fresh shall we say!!!!! Again that'll teach me eh!!!

So here I am off on another leg.....have spoken to a few of you at home this week and things sound grim.....good luck to everyone applying for their jobs again....proper pants xxx Certainly making me think twice about returning home......although Oz is just at the beginning of what you guys are in full swing of.....hope things improve soon.....
