On our return to the hostel we were greeted in the usual friendly manner by the staff and asked all about our day. After a good debrief we told them we were going to go and have a nap a chill out as it had been a full on day and unfortunately our hangovers were coming prematurely. Their alternate suggestion was an evening at the local spa.
Considering we'd had a long eventful day and finding it stressful trying to communicate with a travel agency to gain our already paid for bus tickets, we felt like this alternate plan was almost deserved. Hard life of a backpacker ey!
It would take either a lot of stupidity or a lot of will power to turn down a spa evening on the rooftop of a five star hotel for £7.50. After being slightly offended being given XL crop tops and shorts to wear, which were still tight for us westerners, we were escorted to the spa for a lovely relaxing evening. We had a sauna, foot reflexology, jacuzzi, bath, swim in the swimming pool, another jacuzzi and finished with a mud bath.
To top the day off we managed to sort out bus tickets for the next evening to venture on to Hoi An a day early. Our last day in Nha Trang was spent looking around the shops and markets and after a near death experience on the back of a motorbike with all our luggage during a monsoon we were alive and aboard our third night bus toward the ancient riverside town of Hoi An.
