From Fioranapolis we headed to Iguassu Falls, we stayed at quite a nice Hostel called Bamboo...we arrived in the morning from a not so nice bus so were all very tired but we powered through and went and ate a buffet lunch in a supermarket which was so cheap and compared to the rest of Brazil we were very impressed! We headed straight to Iguassu Falls and did a trail that allowed us to see the falls from many angles which was really cool...the views were incredible and in my opinion better on this side! We were able to walk on a bridge right into the middle of the falls...got soaking wet but was so worth it! That evening was POOL PARTY which we made up, which began with a drinking competition as Lizzie deluded herself thinking she could win...I won!!! We had a really fun night, we played cards, went swimming and danced a lot!! Throwing the barman in the pool probably wasnt our best laid plans however but hey!
The next morning we headed over to the falls to cross over to Argentina, so we went and saw the falls from that side as well which was really good...you get completely different views from both. The Argentinian side was a lot closer and you look from above the falls whereas from the Brazilian side it is a lot more panoramic! Getting across the border was really quite easy, you have to queue for about five minutes, get your passport stamped and HELLO ARGENTINA!!
I will continue with Argentina in the next blog...
