Woo! Long time, no internet. Since I last posted, I have been trough Toronto and Paris - and I'm only in Parpignan for a day. Taking the train all the way south was nice, though; from the map, I hope you can tell how close Perpignan is to Spain. About halfway through the journey, things got very mediteranian.
One of the first things one notices, is how many bicycles, scooters and motorcycles there are compared to the number of cars. Don't get me wrong, people still drive, but there are as many communiting to work on a vespa or something.
Also, food is much more expensive. But the booze is comparitively cheaper - 4 euros for a bottle of red wine, 10 for a bottle of vodka.
Tomorrow, I'm heading to Laroque des Alberes on the bus (a bus ride within the province costs 1 euro) to go and work on the farm. I'm looking forward to that - I'll be a hairs breath from the coast. Now, though, I'm going out for dinner; I spotted a pretty decent creparie not too far from the hotel.
