Today we went on a cruise along phang nga bay, and James Bond island!
We set off early after a lovely breakfast at our guest house. We were picked up in a safari van where we met the other people on our tour, who were two girls from Holland!
We arrived at the harbour where we were to catch our long boat. We set off up the phang nga bay, taking photos of the lime stone rocks that protruded out of the sea.
We went past the Muslim village and on to the James Bond island where 'the man with the golden gun' was filmed. the sun was shining the sea was turquoise.......#lush
We then stopped off for some kayaking. All of the tourists had a Thai paddling for them.....not me! ..... I had ryan! I lay back whilst he paddled us through turquoise Lagoons and dark caves! After the very strenuous kayaking we went for some lunch on our own private beach! We were given some rice and chicken and lots of fruit. We ate lunch and went for a swim! ......perfect!
We then went on to the Muslim village, and saw how the people live, it was like something out of water world the film!
Feeling tired we headed back to phang nga to catch the bus to Surratt Thani! Only to find that the last bus left 10 minutes ago. Having to make a quick decision ( which I hate doing) I made the suggestion of heading to Krabi for the night which was a slight change of course. Krabi has more bars and things to do in the evening. After a two hour drive we arrived at Krabi. We had found a hotel that was advised in the 'lonely planet' only to find it was closed for Refurbishment. The taxi driver suggested a hotel we may like for 600b which is about £12 a night! It is very basic but clean and the shower is actually next to the toilet ( no devide) very strange!
We went for some food at the 'up 2 u too' bar and restaurant, them on to j and j bar on the front of Krabi! We are now sat in 'Pak up' hostel and bar listening to some live dodgy music( sang my a Thai guy .....'hey Jude') drink Chang beer! ......perfectamondo !!!
Tomorrow we plan to get up early and catch a bus to Surratt Thanni and a ferry to ko samui!! But we shall see......
