We left Phuket at about 11.00 and took a 2 hour bus ride to phang nga. We had already booked into a hotel in karaburi!
We arrived at the bus station in phang nga and went straight to mr Kean (travel agent advised in the lonely planet) mr Kean advised that our hotel was 3 hours drive away and we wouldn't be able to do anything there. After booking tomorrow's boat trip around the bay and James Bond island , We booked into the phang nga guest house, which is very basic and appears to have an abundance of very noisy frogs!
Mr Kean gave us a drawn out map of the local area so that we could have a look around! There were a few caves highlighted on his map which we decided to investigate! The map was total crap and didn't really help at all! Luckily we fell upon the first cave (Heaven and Hell Cave) this was quite frankly the strangest place we have ever been to! There was a small area for praying, monks were dotted around the place! There were also lots of statues of animals and Buddhas and people! A lady came out and pointed to a large Chinese dragon motioning us to go inside! So we did. Walking through the dragons mouth and into its body! As we were walking through the dark eary tunnel we noticed a bat hanging from the top of the ceiling! It moved quickly and flew off, at which ryan gave a girlish scream and tried to push me out of the way!
