Ok, so I haven't updated for a while due to the hectic weekend that has ensued, thursday we had to clean out the chickens and they hadn't been cleaned out for two weeks which meant they stink, I now have a new found hatred for chickens. Then we practised herding sheep for the hen party! Which was a little trial and error but we managed to get ten out of thirteen ram lambs in our pen! Then we went out to do a butterfly survey and seen a grand total of 0. Due to high winds! Jamie made us a lasagne for tea, we played draw something in the evening with with Sam we're on a winning streak. I'm considering making a proposal for fancy dress Friday on the island although no one is that keen atm.
Friday the boat arrived with John lewis on board and a variety of visitors including 652 litres of water which meant another day of hauling water up from the jetty, I done some tractor driving in front of the big boss and she was impressed and gave me a little wave as I disappeared into the distance. (well the near distance the island is only 500 metres wide after all.)
Then we done some cleaning and I went with Ross to sort out the bushcraft skills trial for the hen party! Which meant I got to light fires! Yay!
Then I went up to up to do some glossing the the cool looking shop, which is taking sharp thanks to Sophia and Mammy Heather.
Since its Friday the 13th we're watching Ross scary film Apollo 18, it wasn't actually that scary! It was more random!
So the society weekend a hen party and a visit! Crazy weekend, to start with we made the stuff ready for the bush craft then we got the hen party to complete their challenges, and once they completed this we helped out which the society task, Ross made us an awesome tea of lamb Kofta things with dips and salad and everything it was so you,,y then I finally got someone to play twister with me! Yay! Sam has photos on his camera time to update his Facebook I will try and get some! :)
Sunday was a slightly hungover (SAMs vodka and orange fault) challenge of weeding with crazy society people. Then one of them left the ram lambs out onto the wild side and this was a disaster as the soay ewes would potentially get pregnant so a lot of hard work and effort by Sam and Ross with me and sarah as side kicks we managed to get them all back military ops style!
We watch love honour and obey this evening, awesome film!
Love this islands, also love my message off Gemma Bowcock!
