Shopping paradise - Woodbury Common!
The day after the wedding was partially lost because of our sleeping in and slow brains.
We went uptown for some shopping but not having planned our itinerary very well we ended-up wasting a bit of time moving from place to place. We were sort if waiting to hear from L&E as well, as we had agreed to meet for lunch before they headed to the airport for their flight to Brazil :-). Then we remembered a squiffy talk we had the night before when someone told us about a few particular shops we should go to for the sort of thing we wanted to buy (mostly clothes). After very little acquisitions and lots of moving around we went to meet L&E at Pete's Tavern for lunch - a delicious NY burger! We stuck around for afternoon drinks and left when they headed to the airport.
Wanting to catch-up on the lack of shopping productivity, we booked ourselves in for this bus that takes consumerist tourists on a 90min drive out of town to the outlet shopping centre - Woodbury Common!
We were there for full 5 hours of shopping frenzy - it honestly felt like 45 minutes. We bought loads of stuff for incredibly great prices - including a 55l backpack and a roller Samsonite suitcase to fit it all in. Starving and still a bit hyper we shoved down a couple of street hotdogs (here's that movie feeling again). Headed back in the last bus we could possibly have taken allowing some time for strategic packing. We can only take one 23kg bag each, after all.
Thank God we made it to Newark airport well in time for our flight to São Paulo. Now let the wedding craziness start all over again! :)))
