Yep. That's right. That's Bono.
It's 5 pm here in Berlin, and we just walked away from a U2 video shoot. After this picture was taken, Bono actually took a few pictures with some people in the crowd that were watching. We were about a foot away from one of the most famous people in the world. Though we didn't get to put our arm around him and take a picture (security whisked him away after he chatted up some pretty girls), Jill got a really close shot of him while we were waiting. They're on our camera, so you'll have to wait until we get home to see them.
Unbe-fricken-lievable.
Oh, and not to be outdone, yours truly may end up on the 5 o'clock news here in Berlin. Channel 1 interviewed me this morning just outside the Brandenburg gate, asking what I thought about the news of Osama's death. I had only JUST found out that morning that he was dead, and really hadn't given it much thought. They were looking for an international opinion... Not sure I did Canada proud, as I stumbled away through a few answers, not really being all that prepared for something that I don't really have overly strong opinions about. But... Who knows. It may end up on the editing room floor. Sadly, we were unable to actually catch the news, so who knows if I made the cut or not. Doubt it'll become a YouTube sensation anytime soon.
And the days not even over, but the blog break is. I'll have more about the actual city and what else we did in the next update.
Until then, I hope you have a Beautiful Day where The Streets Have No Name, at whatever Elevation you're at. So far Berlin has been The Sweetest Thing.
