Did not take any photos today so reverted back to the "container house" being built down on the Fraser Coast.
Left Dululu around 0900. Another bright still morning. To Biloela (bill- o- wheel-a). Interesting change in the countryside, now crops, Lucerne trees and cotton and of course plenty of Brahman cattle.(the ones the Muslims torture before they slaughter them slowly). Biloela has the widest streets I have ever seen. The parking lane on each side is as wide as a generous highway lane, then there are two generous highway lanes, a two lane painted median strip and then the two lanes and parking lane repeated on the other side!!!
Grabbed a few groceries and headed for a recommended camp spot on the Dawson River 7 km west of Moura.
Travelled via Banana where I was tempted to call at the post office to ask where Mr Bender lived, but as it was Sat. had to give that a miss.
This area is largely coal mining and power stations which of course go hand in hand up here.
Lovely spot here on the river. Close to but far enough away from the highway for its traffic not to be a problem.
Have met a couple from Tamworth with a bus physically identical to ours though one year older, but with much better appointments which is interesting.
The day got fairly warm (25 degrees+) but the evenings cool quickly and night time temps drop to 4-5 degrees.
Will possibly stay a day or two. Would love to catch a Barramundi which are apparently in the river. (stocked).
There is a golf course over the road but have no gear and have just started to experience the first pain free days in months so will not push things.
