Did not take any photos today so have added one of our campsite from earlier. Pre-dawn walk to the beach and then clifftop to watch the sunrise. Magic. No whales like we see at Hastings Point because we are just inside the southern end of the reef and I think they go "wide" on this part of the coast. Another glorious day. Offshore breeze and no swell. Early bike ride to the town to check it out in detail. Everything there but very expensive. Later walk to the lookout (today's photo) which is looking back towards the beach in front of where we are camped. It is called Workmans Beach. A bit more fossiking around the campsite as people moved out but so far no sign of the gold ring. Very relaxing but must put in a lot of time to exercise tomorrow to make up for ...
Beautiful day. Early walk to clifftop to look for whales but none around. Hit the beach with the metal detector and returned two hours later with $27.50 for the effort! Picked up another $5 , a Spanish gold coin (modern) and a cheap fob watch around the campsite. Everyone here very friendly. Forecast good again tomorrow so plan a long walk down the coast.
Roads less travelled today. It was nice to have less traffic to worry about and drop back to 70kph for lengthy periods. Planned to go to 1770 but Agnes Waters looked nice and we were lucky to find this spot 100m from the water. Took the opportunity to try out the new toy ( today's photo).
