Today's photo is looking up the coast to the north west. I am standing on the northern breakwater which is where I had my pre dawn walk this morning, up over Muttonbird Island. Surprisingly have not seen any whales on all my walks, suspect they traverse this part of the coast further off shore due to all the small islands in this area.
Beautiful warm morning. The plan for today was an early bike ride to the biggest fishing, boating and camping shop in Australia.
0930 start was a lot later than I had planned but at least we got away and it would have been uneventful if Gayles bike battery had not started to go flat.
This place is amazing! Rows and rows of fishing rods like quills on a porcupines back and then there were the rows of reels, lures and accessories.
Next door was boating and next door again was camping.
Had to force myself away before I spent a fortune.
The bike battery held out until we got home and even then Gayle rode round and round the park to well and truly flatten it.
Off to the bowls club for lunch - no dinner this evening.
An hour or so of fossiking in the cool of the evening produced in addition to the usual modern gold coins, my first pre- decimal coin, a very common 1942 penny. All in all a full and pleasant day.

Gray Just returned from the Brisbane Boat Show to look at the Tinoo! Much to Joan's relief I came back with only a new 10ft surf combo. Will keep an eye out on E bay though. Have a few Tooheys Black for me.
Wayne You'll be happy to know that we are having sunny breaks interspersed with scudding cold showers with occassional hail, 6 meter swells on the south coast and 7 on the west. I think it is the final weather fling before the first day of spring. Got your text last night but unsure of its significance??
