Back to the museum for an hour or so while Gayle went to the Op Shop grand sale.
Departed Nabiac 1100 and headed for the Pissoffic Hwy. Had decided to get as close to Sydney as we were comfortable with, in preparation for the thrust through Sydney tomorrow.
Have had good instruction from Robin and others on how to skirt through the motorways but I am still apprehensive .
Passed through Bulahdelah then later turned onto the Old Pacific Hwy, stopping at the pretty town of Karuah for lunch. It is there that Gayle took today's photo. My efforts on the beach were enough to pay for the lunch ingredients we bought at the local IGA.
Back to the Hwy, eventually turning off to Lake Macquarie and the town of Toronto where we fuelled up ready for the non stop run through Sydney tomorrow.
Decided to have a night in a park to catch up on laundry and showers, and found one right on the lakes edge.
Lots of kids in this park so not sure how quiet a night it will be. Looking forward to getting back into those little country towns.
