16 April
Well again we've split for the day. Rod and I headed out of the city for another meeting and Dad continued exploring.
Again our day, whilst good from a business perspective, was relatively uneventful. Tube, train, taxi, meeting, pub, taxi, train and tube back home.
We didn't get back until about 9.00pm by which time Dad had again had his dinner so he stayed in while had a meal with Rod. Went to Polpo in Covent garden, one of Clare and Sean's favourites and with the marvels of technology was able to text Sean and him advise what was good one the menu. A really fabulous meal, albeit a bit late and very noisy.
While we were working Dad went for a long walk up to Hyde Park and right around it. He took some photos and sent them to Mum off his iPad, something Mum is most impressed with. He then had a look around Harrod's and followed that up with a visit to the British Museum (he's definitely not letting the grass grow under his feet while here). Vegetarian burger for dinner which by his admission was not his best decision of the day.
He spent a lot of time watching the happy vibrant people going about their day. Actually he described them as "pissheads who smoke a lot", but seem to enjoy it.
Contact was sporadic as unlike yesterday Dad did leave his phone on but didn't answer it!
So all in all a pretty uneventful day on all fronts.

Ruth We're the stairs to the apt. Or at the tube? I thought 15 flights a bit too many for either. Bob, I am sure you found the museum a lot more interesting than Harrods!
