Today we went on a river cruise down Katherine Gorge. There are 13 gorges and we went on two off them. We had to switch boats a couple of times because of the rocks and water falls. When we switched boats the first time we saw aboriginal paintings on the rocks and they were between 8000 and 10,000 years old. We only saw one croc. out of the whole trip. We were looking forward to Dad's delicious sandwiches for lunch but they were still back in the caravan fridge so we had to eat our emergency food supply in the car. Then we started our 10km bushwalk up and over the gorge. It was fun but tiring. It took us 3 hours. Tonight we are going to the club to watch the state of origin. It is the third state we have watched this years origin. The other 2 games were in WA and SA.
We had a great day.

dorothy tanner Hi Issy, Too bad about those sandwiches (what a disappointment), specially with the 10k trek. Thank goodness you had the emergency supply (thanks Mum). The cruise would have been a good experience, specially seeing the aboriginal paintings. We have much to learn from their culture. Trust you all enjoyed watching the “State of Origin” at the Club, I am sure it was a good atmosphere - close so very close! Little over cast & cool here, Roy & I will go for a run when it warms a little, he is asleep alongside me. I did read yesterday that we are going to experience warmer weather soon as we are in the flow of “la nina”, looking forward to that!!! Enjoy the days ahead, Love always D & R xxxxOOOO
